Photographs will be taken during the event. Below, we provide information about the nature and purposes of the photography, the legal basis, and your rights.
The photographs will be used for the following purposes: Providing the photographs to participants; Internal image database or archive; Internal use by the association; Use on the internal network (intranet); Provision to sponsors/partners; Promotion of other and similar events; Our own print media and comparable publications; Public reporting on the event; Public relations; Use on our website; Publication on social media; Publication on TV; An image database or archive accessible and usable by the general public (e.g., an image download area with a selection of media for reporting purposes) ; Sharing of images with the press and media; Reference material for photographers; Use in video productions; Video coverage of the event; Yearbooks and similar records; School newspaper; Presentation and demonstration purposes;
Type of recordings: Photographs and video recordings.
Legal basis for the recordings: Legitimate interests in the use of the recordings for the aforementioned purposes pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) and Art. 85 of the GDPR in conjunction with Sections 22 and 23 of the German Artistic Copyright Act (KUG).
Retention period for the images: The images will be retained for as long as necessary for the aforementioned purposes. The images may be stored internally indefinitely, e.g., to secure copyright claims by providing proof of original recordings and, furthermore, for reasons of contemporary historical documentation. In the event of publication, the recordings may be published for as long as the respective publications, articles, or contributions are publicly accessible.
Notes on third-party images: Images may also be taken by event participants at their own discretion and within the limits of the law. We ask participants to be considerate of one another. Media representatives may be present during the event and take images at their own discretion.
