We make knowledge easily accessible, facilitate the seamless exchange of ideas, and help people build new connections – all without hierarchies, politics, or religion. Every speaker faces a challenge: They must get straight to the point with their topic, because they have EXACTLY 12 minutes – and the clock is ticking!

12 Years
12 Minutes

3 speakers, each with 12 minutes on stage, followed by 12 minutes for your questions, with a 12-minute break in between, and of course networking afterward. It’s that simple.

The topics are either a diverse mix (IGNITE) or the evening has a specific focus, such as food, investing, sustainability… There’s something for everyone.

As 12min.me e.V., we bring together the old and new economies across generations and disciplines. In short: We connect people who want to drive our society forward.

We are more than just an event, a network, or a platform. We are a movement that inspires and sharpens your awareness of current issues—and of yourself.

What We Do

Time is our most valuable asset – don’t waste it! “Don’t waste your time!” – that’s our motto, and we live by it. We bring education, innovation, and inspiring topics to a casual after-work setting where the old and new economies come together.

How do we keep our promise? Each of our events features three truly informative, entertaining, and honest talks. The catch – every speaker has exactly 12 minutes to tell their story and convey all the key points. The clock is ticking… Not a second longer! Then it’s your turn. Ask questions and dive deeper into the topic! And – how could it be any other way? You get 12 minutes, too.

It’s not just our job to offer you fun, inspiration, and knowledge in a unique networking environment. We love bringing people from all walks of life together. We also provide a stage for impactful nonprofit initiatives and sustainable projects.

As a networking platform, we support the exchange of ideas, the opportunity to expand your network, and – most importantly – the sharing of love.

How we do it

We are the most professional amateurs you’ve ever seen, and we’re dedicated to our passion. We do this on a volunteer basis, acting as individuals rather than as representatives of a company. Locally, nationally, and internationally, we’re a team that’s open to new talent and ideas. We’re happy to take on responsibility and recognize that our community relies on us. We operate based on the following principles:
We are non-political, non-religious, and non-commercial. We are open to any inspiring topics with social relevance and speakers who add value to our community.
We strive for equal gender representation on stage.
We foster interpersonal relationships that help our society move forward.
Our events are free, informal, and offer free nourishment for both body and soul.
Our stage belongs to the speakers (not the moderators), and the time is for the community (not the speaker).
